1980  : Pierre DHOMPS founds ENERGIE 7 International

From 1983 :  ENERGIE 7 International acted as a go-between in front of the Chinese central buying offices, exporting European products which were mostly used for maintenance in Chinese plants which had previously been bought in Europe as turnkey factories.

 

1989 : Facing Beijing events consequences, ENERGIE 7 International has suddenly lost 80 % of its turnover. Thus, between 1989 and 1992, ENERGIE 7 was importing metrology devices in Europe.

1992  : The economical landscape has completely changed due to the political power decentralization in favour of the Provinces: industrial companies have got the upper hand over central buying offices which progressively became trading companies. In addition to this, China was becoming a leader in the hardware industry. The Internet emergence provides industrial companies the opportunity to reach their suppliers directly: as a consequence the original “go-between” activity has disappeared, but ENERGIE 7 has become aware of the fact that it had a 9-year experience in China, and above all a dynamic network called “guanxi”. Pierre DHOMPS has decided to use it as a strength to offer to other companies, and launched a “consulting” activity which consisted in promoting European companies in China in several areas of activity with a wide range of services.

From 1992 to now  : permanent consulting activity in China.
