Since 2001, the car industry is bursting in China, with an average growth of 26%. Number 4 in 2006, China is now the 2nd market, in front of Japan and Germany.

2002  : 1st year of private cars mass production.

2005  : China becomes the 3rd car manufacturer worldwide.

2007  : China becomes the 2nd car manufacturer worldwide with a total production of 8.5 millions of cars, whereas it was not supposed to happen before 2010!

2008  : China will manufacture 10 millions vehicles, which means a more than 20 % growth again!

2020  : China will certainly be the 1st car manufacturer worldwide, but this forecast will be shortened. 2015 or even earlier?
